KI Maker is a product brand operated by Kuster Induction Solutions LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in Converse, Texas, USA. Products are designed, documented and individually function-tested by KI Maker before shipment.

Why KI Maker exists

Microcontrollers operate at 3.3 V or 5 V. Real control projects often use 12 V or 24 V power, loads and field signals. Connecting those two worlds requires more than an unmarked breakout board.

KI Maker develops compact interface boards with clearly labeled connections, appropriate protection, published electrical limits and documentation written for the workbench.

  • Distribute regulated controller and accessory power from a 24 V-class DC supply.
  • Switch compatible DC loads without asking a controller GPIO pin to carry load current.
  • Monitor 9–30 VDC field signals without applying field voltage directly to controller GPIO.
How we work

Four commitments behind every released board

The product page explains what a board does. The documentation and test process establish how it should be used.

01 · Clear wiring

Readable labels and practical connections

Power, signal, input, output and ground are identified directly on the PCB. Field wiring uses screw terminals where appropriate.

02 · Defined protection

Protection selected for the board's job

Designs use measures such as fusing, optical isolation, transient suppression and reverse-polarity protection where the circuit requires them.

03 · Published limits

Ratings that include their conditions

Operating ranges, shared limits and application restrictions are stated in the applicable specification sheet and owner's manual.

04 · Tested units

Individually checked before shipment

Released products are bench-validated and supported by current documentation. Each saleable unit is function-tested before it leaves KI Maker.

Accepts 18–30 VDC and provides regulated 12 V, 5 V and 3.3 V rails plus fused input-voltage distribution.

4-channel protected outputs

Switches compatible 12 V and 24 V DC loads through four protected low-side outputs, subject to the published channel and shared-board limits.

Converts four polarity-independent 9–30 VDC field inputs into active-high 3.3 V or 5 V logic signals with functional optical isolation.

Every current board has an owner's manual, specification sheet, mechanical information and Quick Start guide available online.

  • Review the documentation before applying power.
  • When asking for help, include the model, supply voltage, controller and connected load or sensor.
  • Clear wiring photographs help us give a faster, more accurate answer.
Application limits

Low-voltage DC applications only.

KI Maker modules are intended for maker projects, prototypes, test fixtures and compatible low-voltage control applications. They are not intended for:

  • AC mains connections
  • Medical or life-safety equipment
  • Emergency-stop, SIL, PL or other fail-safe functions
  • Use outside the electrical and environmental limits in the product documentation

IN-4 provides functional optical isolation only; it is not a certified safety barrier.
